Meet Radientum at electronica 2026 in Munich

Written by Mikko Parkkila | Oct 19, 2026, 1:10:02 PM

electronica 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for electronics, takes place from 10 to 13 November at Messe München in Munich, Germany. It covers the full range from components and sensors to embedded systems, with SEMICON Europa running alongside.

Mikko Parkkila from Radientum will be visiting electronica on Wednesday and Thursday, 11–12 November. If you are developing a wireless product and want to talk antennas, RF or EMC, Mikko is happy to meet.

What electronica 2026 covers

electronica brings together suppliers across semiconductors, embedded systems, sensors, displays, power and automotive electronics. The 2026 focus topics are artificial intelligence, cyber resilience and energy efficiency, and the supporting programme includes the Automotive Conference, forums and a start-up area. Opening hours are 9:00–18:00 Tuesday to Thursday and 9:00–15:00 on Friday.

Why antenna decisions belong early in the design

Many teams at electronica are choosing radio modules, chipsets and components for their next product. That is also the right moment to think about the antenna. Placement, ground plane size and enclosure materials are set early, and they decide most of the antenna’s performance. When the antenna is treated as the last part of the design, the usual result is a redesign after the first measurements.

A short conversation at this stage can save a board spin later. Our article on when to involve an antenna engineer covers what to share and when.

What to talk to Mikko about

  • Custom antenna design and chip antenna integration for IoT, wearables and industrial devices

  • Multi-radio products: cellular, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GNSS and UWB on one board

  • Antenna simulation and OTA measurements before certification

  • EMC/EMI and SI/PI questions in compact wireless designs
