Written by Christine Nguyen | Oct 30, 2026, 10:49:45 AM

MEDICA 2026 takes place from 16 to 19 November at Messe Düsseldorf in Germany. It is one of the world’s largest trade fairs for medical technology, and COMPAMED, the fair for medical technology suppliers, runs alongside it.

Christine Nguyen, Director of Business Development at Radientum, will be visiting MEDICA 2026. If your team develops connected medical devices or health wearables, this is a good chance to talk about antenna, RF and EMC design in person.

Who to meet from Radientum at MEDICA 2026

If you are looking for an antenna, RF or EMC design partner for a medical device at MEDICA 2026, meet Christine Nguyen from Radientum. Christine is in Düsseldorf on 17-18th and open to meetings with teams building wearables, remote monitoring devices and other connected medical products. Send her a message on LinkedIn or by email to agree on a time.

  • Who: Christine Nguyen, Director of Business Development, Radientum
  • When: 17–18 November 2026
  • Where: MEDICA 2026, Messe Düsseldorf, Germany (visiting, no stand)
  • How to meet: Christine on LinkedIn or book a meeting through this calendar.

What MEDICA 2026 covers

MEDICA covers medical imaging, health IT, laboratory equipment, diagnostics and medical devices. This year’s hot topics include telemedicine and remote monitoring, smart hospitals and point-of-care diagnostics. The WT Wearable Technologies Conference Europe and pavilion focuses on wearables, digital health and hospital-at-home solutions, which is where many connected device makers will be.

Why antenna design is harder in medical wearables

The human body absorbs RF energy and detunes antennas placed close to it. A wearable or patch that performs well on the bench can lose much of its range once it is worn. Small enclosures, batteries and displays leave little room for the antenna, and many devices combine Bluetooth with cellular or other radios that have to coexist.

Medical electrical equipment also has its own EMC requirements, such as IEC 60601-1-2. Planning antenna and EMC work together early typically avoids surprises in compliance testing.

What to talk to Christine about

  • Antenna design for medical wearables, patches and remote monitoring devices
  • On-body antenna performance and how to verify it
  • Bluetooth, cellular and multi-radio coexistence in small devices
  • EMC and EMI pre-compliance for connected medical products
