PLM Group’s Electromagnetics Simulation Day 2026 takes place on Wednesday 11
November at Art Hotel Lasaretti in Oulu, Finland. The full-day event is built around CST
Studio Suite, with the 2027 software updates, three tracks on antennas, EMC and lowfrequency simulation, and a hands-on CST session with Dassault Systèmes experts.
Radientum’s Matti Uusimäki is on the programme again this year. At 15:40 he presents “RF Layout and Spurious Emissions”, a practical look at how RF layout decisions show up later as unwanted emissions.

Spurious emissions are unwanted signals a radio device emits outside its intended channel. Layout choices such as ground return paths, how RF and clock lines are routed, decoupling and shielding all affect how much of that energy escapes. When it is caught late, in EMC or radio conformance testing, the fix often means a board respin.
